We first met at a party freshman year, when Natalia was taken to ultimate frisbee formal as her good friend Judy's date. She proceeded to introduce herself as frisbee's newest recruit (thanks to Judy's persuasion) to everybody at the party, including Sam. Nothing came of that first introduction until the following year, when both the men's and women's ultimate frisbee teams were preparing for their annual spring break tournament in Myrtle Beach. Sam secretly requested that Natalia be assigned to his car for the long drive to South Carolina, and the rest is history.

On our 6th anniversary weekend, Sam had planned a date afternoon. We were ubering to brunch in the West Loop and Sam had the uber driver stop off the route. We got out of the car and Natalia was slightly hangry and confused as Sam walked her up a set of stairs to an area overlooking the Chicago River. Natalia turned around and Sam was on one knee! We were engaged and had an amazing (albeit snowy) spring day celebrating. We are so excited to celebrate the next chapter of our lives with you. See you in Chicago!
