Dear Family + Friends, In light of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, we have made the difficult decision to postpone our wedding celebration until further notice. While we are deeply disappointed, our top priority is to protect the health, safety, and peace of mind of our guests, many of whom will be traveling internationally and domestically for the occasion. We are working hard with our vendors to reschedule festivities in 2021 and will be in touch soon with our new date. In the meantime, we are committed to getting married and saying "I do" on August 22, 2020 as originally planned, albeit in a much more intimate setting with our immediate family. We are exploring options to live-stream our ceremony for those interested in attending virtually and will let you know if that becomes a possibility. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate these unprecedented times. We can't wait to give you all hugs and look forward to celebrating together next year. Until then, stay home (if you can), take care of yourselves, call your loved ones, and keep practicing those dance moves. With love always, Nathalie + Peter
Looking back, it's funny we didn't meet sooner. We grew up in neighboring towns, shared mutual acquaintances, played in the same adult volleyball league, and even lived one block from one another in Portsmouth, NH. There were so many opportunities to cross paths, but it never happened "organically". It wasn't until we both had given up on love, that we found it...on Match.com. As fate would have it, Pete signed on to delete his account only to find a bold message from Nathalie stating that she wasn't "much for online chit chat" and that they "should grab drinks or forget it." Intrigued and only mildly afraid, Pete invited Nathalie out for margaritas....on Saint Patrick's Day. Undeterred by Pete's original take on the Irish holiday, Nathalie suggested they ask each other "30 Questions to Fall in Love on Tinder" (Google it, we dare you). Low and behold, that crappy questionnaire worked and, as singer Rihanna would say, we found love in a hopeless place. Exactly two years and 110 days later, Pete proposed in a historic castle overlooking the bay of Saint Tropez in France. Nathalie said "Oui!" and the rest is history. We are so excited to celebrate the beginning of our next chapter and look forward to having you, our favorite people from near and far, together in one place for the occasion. With love always, Nathalie + Peter
