What should I wear?

Answer

We are planning a black-tie optional / formal event. Ladies please wear a long dress. Men a dark suit or tux is great. Please refer to the color palette in your invitations for ideas. Think fall colors.

What is the weather going to be like?

Answer

In late September in North Carolina is should be in the high 60's - low 70's during the day and high 50's in the evening. A light jacket is recommended.

Where should I stay?

Answer

We have a hotel block at Hotel Sylva, a cute boutique hotel close to the venue. We are working closely with them to create a fun weekend for everyone so we highly recommend everyone stays there.

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

No transportation will not be provided. Please plan on ubering or renting a car.

How do I get to Sylva?

Answer

The closest airport is Asheville. From there you have about an hour drive into Sylva. The venue is only about 25 min from Hotel Sylva.

What time should we arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony begins promptly at 5:30pm. Please plan to be there around 5:00 pm. The wedding events will go until 10:30pm

Is the wedding inside or outside?

Answer

The ceremony itself is outside on the lawn overlooking the gorgeous North Carolina mountains. Cocktail hour & the reception will also be outside. Depending on weather heaters will be provided for our comfort. Dinner will be provided, and full access to the castle is available for the entirety of the event for all guests.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to the intentionality of keeping a small intimate wedding, if your invitation did not state a plus one, no you may not.

Do you only need us for the ceremony?

Answer

No, we are so grateful that everyone is traveling for us. We please request that you join us for the welcome party Sunday afternoon.
