Tacos and karaoke. After several hours of laughing and talking over drinks and tacos, neither one wanted the night to end. Jared suggested they head over to a karaoke bar that was "sketchy but fun." Natalie promptly texted her friend the location of this 'sketchy but fun' bar called Santa's Pub. They had a blast together as Jared sang "Sweet Caroline" and Natalie rounded up some girls in the bathroom to join her in singing "If You Wanna Be My Lover" by the Spice Girls. After 6 hours, the date came to an end...but not before a goodnight kiss.

What started out as a family thanksgiving vacation turned into the weekend of a lifetime. Seattle, WA. Thanksgiving 2018. After Thanksgiving in Seattle, Jared surprised Natalie with a ferry ride to Victoria, BC. What she didn't realize, was that Hatley Castle is located there. Hatley Castle is a filming location for some of Natalie's absolute favorite shows and movies. Smallville's Lex Luthor lived in Hatley Castle as did Arrow's Oliver Queen. Hatley is also the home of Xaxier's School for the Gifted from the X-Men franchise in X2, X Men: The Last Stand, Deadpool and Deadpool 2. As the castle came into view, Natalie couldn’t contain her excitement. Jared casually walked her around the grounds as they admired the architecture and gardens. He set up the tripod and asked to take some pictures. He then took out his bluetooth speaker and began to play, "Slide" by the Goo Goo Dolls. Natalie began to cry, asking, "is this it?" Jared nodded, got down on one knee and told Natalie he knew from their first date that she was the woman he wanted to spend his forever with. "Will you marry me?" he asked and she replied, "of course!" They spent their weekend indulging at the Oak Bay Resort and exploring Butchart Gardens. They had high tea to celebrate and enjoyed some fine wine at a vineyard which they have saved to have during their wedding ceremony.
