FAQs

Question

When should I arrive and depart?

Answer

Arrival: Friday, September 18th for our welcome dinner and bonfire. Departure: Monday, September 21st after a farewell breakfast. We hope you extend your visit in Montana though... there is so much beauty to explore and appreciate!

Question

Do I have to book at Flathead Lake Lodge?

Answer

No, you can choose to stay off site. BUT you will only be allowed on property for the Wedding. Meaning, you will be included at our ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception, but you cannot attend any of the other wedding festivities.

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

With love, no. We adore your little ones, but we are requesting an adult-only weekend so that everyone can be present for the celebration.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

If history is any indication, we can expect highs in the 70s and sunny in early-mid September but the weather can be unpredictable in Montana so we recommend checking the forecast leading up to the weekend and packing accordingly! Even if we have beautiful days, the nights are cool (40s and 50s) so be sure to pack layers regardless.

Question

What should I wear to each event?

Question

Should I plan to rent a car?

Answer

If you're flying into Glacier Park International (Kalispell) and only staying in Montana for the wedding festivities, we would request pick-up and drop-off via Flathead Lake Lodge when you book your reservation (they have a car service). If you're flying into Missoula, Helena or Bozeman, and/or extending your adventures, then we recommend renting a car for your stay. While the drive from Glacier Park International Airport (FCA) to Bigfork is only about 25-30 minutes, the Flathead Valley is spread out and having a car will give you the most flexibility. Ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft are limited in the area, especially for early morning or late-night rides. A car will also allow you to explore local attractions like Glacier National Park and visit nearby towns like Whitefish. If you plan to rent a car, we recommend booking well in advance as the Kalispell airport has a limited rental car fleet that often books up during peak seasons.
