Question

Why New Orleans?

Answer

Well... good question! When you have family & friends across the Midweast, Northeast and UK, it requires come compromises. So when trying to find a destination for our wedding, we wanted some place in the middle with plenty of entertainment & food options. After thinking about it, we quickly determinded noone wants to go to a wedding in Cleveland...so we thought about someplace that was special to us! New Orleans is where Natalie and Asher had the first chance to hangout and become friends (we met at work and it was a work retreat) we spent the few days there exploring, eating and drinking around the city with a larger group. While we didn't start dating for awhile after that trip, it felt appropriate that we take this exciting next step together in NOLA since if it wasn't for getting to know each other on our initial trip - this love story may not have ever happened! And as promised, there is so much to do and we've made sure to organize some of the best food in the middle of one of the most fun destinations in the entire US. We can't wait to be there with all the people we love the most!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Think summer cocktail-ish! What does that mean? We want you to feel your best! Please dress comfortably enough to enjoy the festivities! (Ladies -summer dresses etc., Shoes - wedges, block heels, nice flats etc are totally fine! Men - comfortable suit, or button down/ khakis etc.) in preparation for the second-line & dancing! In addition, a lot of time will be spent outside and it will be summer weather in May! (sorry lol)

Question

What is a Second Line?

Answer

Second lines are a popular tradition among New Orleans weddings. It signifies the beginning of a new life together. The newlyweds lead the procession with a brass band umbrellas in hand, while the guests follow the band with handkerchiefs (and a cocktail!). It'll be a short parade around the block of the venue! If you do not wish to participate you are more than welcome to hang out at the bar at the venue. Pedicabs are also an option to join the parade - if you are interested in one please let Asher or Natalie know and we will book one for you!

Question

Are Kids Allowed?

Answer

Given the atmosphere of NOLA and our venues in particular we have decided to keep our wedding events adults only. We appreciate your understanding in our decision. <3

Question

Anything else we should know?

Answer

We are having a traditional New Orleans wedding. There will be a buffet and passed hors d'oeuvres, therefore there will not be a formal sit down dinner. No formal seating arrangements etc. This way you eat when your heart desires and dance when your heart desires!

Question
