Andrew and I met on a dating app called Hinge. We got to talking and after he told me this story about how at work, these elderly women made him participate in a cupcake decorating contest. He had to wear an apron, a chef's hat, and decorated horrible looking cupcakes. After that convo, I knew I had to meet this guy. Our first date we met at Diversey Bowl. My absolute favorite animal is a giraffe. Guess what kind of shirt Andrew wore? A sarafi short sleeve button up with GIRAFFES on it (along with other safari things). Sign#1! Those of you who know me know that I'm VERY competitive and weirdly good at most sports. I love going bowling - I don't go often, but I always want to go and no one ever historically wants to go bowling so I loved that he agreed to bowl for our 1st date. The entire time we were bowling, Andrew is telling me stories, chatting my ear off, and going up to the line, throwing the ball, and NOT even looking at if he hit the pins down! I MEAN CMON! Again, knowing me... being competitive it was internally infurating me that he was winning and didn't even care and didn't seem like he was trying! He ended up winning-- I admit it (but I've beat him every other time we have played :) ) Sign #2 - good at sports! Anyways.. after we were done, we decided to Uber to Wrigley Field where Luke Bryan was performing and we thought it would be nice to sit on a patio, talk and listen to some live music. The weather at the time was about 90 degrees with high humidity and Andrew was wearing jeans. Because it was so nice out, I wanted to walk home. Andrew was happy to walk me home (3 miles away...) even though he was SO SWEATY literally dripping the whole time. We finally agreed to Uber for the rest of the distance. After that, I went to Iceland/Ireland with my Mom and we texted the whole time. Last Sign #3 I knew Andrew was the 1. I love Harry Potter and he has never seen it. While I was gone, he watched EVERY Harry Potter Movie and gave me his feedback!
