The official and primary language in Brazil is Portuguese, but don't worry, we will have lots of English-speaking people around and we will have translations available when needed. We also highly recommend downloading google translate as it can be very useful!
Reais is the national currency in Brazil, but you can use your own credit card or take out reais at most ATMs. They will not accept U.S. dollars as payment. Our U.S. credit cards have automatically converted the amounts for us when making purchases in Brazil. The exchange rate is ~$1 USD=5 BRL.
We strongly encourage staying at Hotel Deville. This is where most of the English-speaking people will be staying, and will likely be a central location for planning the days preceding the wedding. You will be responsible for hotel charges at check-in.
During August, Brazil is entering their Spring season. The average temperature range during this time is about 65 to 85 degrees Fahrenheit, and it's usually a bit breezy as well.
Everything we plan will be in Nathan's city, Campo Grande, so the airport you'll be flying into is the Campo Grande International Airport. The airport code is CGR.
