I was at Meagan’s sister’s house for a game night. I had been a couple of times, so I pretty much knew everyone there. Well this one time there just so happened to be a boy I had never met before. It was Riley! We talked almost the entire night. As the night was winding down, Meagan and I said our good byes and headed toward the car. On our way out, Riley ran after us and stopped me. “Do you like coffee?”, he said. After that we exchanged numbers and went on our first date a few days later! The rest is history! One for the books -Natalyn
Natalyn and I spent the next month spending as much time together as possible, learning that I do more distracting than helping when studying! After waiting as long as I could, following dinner at Bohemian pizza in downtown Tulsa, I finally asked the question, "Will you be my girlfriend?" We knew God had his hand on this relationship from the start. It wasn't more than a few months later that I would sit Nat down again to tell her that I would be taking it slow with the "L" word, and yet, I found myself awkwardly spilling those very words out to her (when you know, you know)! The past two years of our relationship have been filled with sweet coffee dates, Covid quarantines, and countless road trips that we can't get enough of. We've learned how to laugh together, cry together, and fight together. God has been so faithful to lead and love us through the entire process. After Nat had been dropping hints for some time, on October 2, on the roof of a parking garage in downtown Dallas, I finally asked the question she wanted to hear, "Will you marry me?" - Riley
