Flight
This is the best place to fly into. From there you can get a car or ride to San Carlos. From NYC, Volaris or Interjet offer the best prices with a layover in Mexico City. You may also fly to Hermosillo via Phoenix (American Airlines); or you could fly to Mexico City in your favorite international airline and switch to a domestic airline for the MEX-HMO segment (such as Aeromexico, Interjet or Volaris).
Flight
This is the most cost-effective way to get to San Carlos from outside Mexico. Take a flight to either Phoenix or Tucson, AZ and go by land from there. There are shuttles that go from Phoenix and Tucson to Hermosillo (Look for Hermosillo Shuttles in Facebook), or you could rent a car and drive to San Carlos.
