The Monserrate Sanctuary is a church from the XVII century located on a hill overseeing Bogota from nearly 3,200m over sea level. You can hike up (early morning recommended) or take the cable car or train up. Beware of altitude sickness! There is also a traditional restaurant on the top of the hill.
One of the most famous places in Bogotá to try local food but mostly for its party! This location is ~1h away by car from the city. There is an alternative location near the recommended accomodation area (we will go here on Thursday August 3rd)
Mostly seafood with amazing dishes with a Pacific coast inspiration. Our favorites: Coconut rice (arroz con coco), Patacones (you all now we love them!), Ceviche Caribe (mixed), Ceviche Rocotto (mixed, can be spicy)
Best cost-value proposition for Asian cuisine! There are a few locations around the city. Shrimp rolls, spicy calamari, Nasi Goreng, Vietnamese bowl, crème brûlée - are some of our favorites! Numerous veggie alternatives. Wok is committed to responsibly sourced food and positive social impact across its supply chain network.
C&W is a local restaurant chain (several locations around the city) that supports single mothers through formal employment. All crepes are amazing and their ice creams are some of the best in town! Numerous veggie alternatives.
