Travel Note
We will not be booking a formal hotel block, so we encourage everyone to choose the accommodation that best fits their travel style and budget. We don’t have a specific preference for hotels versus Airbnbs—both are great options in these areas! If you find a place you like but want a second opinion, or if you need a few specific recommendations to get started, please feel free to reach out to us.
Travel Note
- The Vibe: Often called the "Miami of Greece," Glyfada is right on the water and bursting with great restaurants, hotels, and shopping. It is perfect if you want a coastal feel while staying connected—plus, it’s just a quick cab ride to the nearest metro if you want to head into the center of Athens. - Wedding Day Logistics: Glyfada is a convenient 10-minute cab ride from Constantine’s home. On the day of the wedding, we will be providing transportation from his house to the ceremony, and later to the reception (more details on schedule and timing coming soon!).
Travel Note
- The Vibe: Ideal for history buffs and city lovers. Staying in Athens proper means you will have endless sightseeing, incredible food, culture, and shopping right outside your door. - Wedding Day Logistics: The ceremony is taking place at the Greek Byzantine Catholic Cathedral of Holy Trinity in Athens proper, making it a very short trip by cab or metro. Transportation will be provided from the ceremony to the reception venue afterward.
Travel Note
- The Vibe: Located about an hour south of Athens, this area offers a beautiful beach-town, summer resort feel with great value for your money. Because there is no metro access down here, we highly recommend renting a car or relying on taxis if you choose this option. - Wedding Day Logistics: This area is about a 30-minute drive from Constantine’s home, where you can catch the guest transportation to the ceremony and venue. Please note that while getting home late at night from the reception venue via taxi is possible, it is a bit more difficult given the distance.
