Natalya and Andrew met not through mutual friends, not through family, not at church, not even in class, but on (what Natalya would describe as magical) Sunday night in the Palo Verde lobby at GCU. On Sunday, October 15th, Natalya was doing her homework by the RA desk with her friend. Andrew was coming back to his apartment in Palo Verde and decided to stop by the lobby. As Andrew stopped at the RA desk, Natalya looked up from her computer, and that's when she saw the most handsome man she had even seen. The two strangers chatted in the lobby for what only seemed like a few minutes and the rest is history. Andrew and Natalya went on dates for around 2 months before Andrew asked Natalya's dad if he could officially be her boyfriend on December 14th. Around a year later, Andrew had another conversation with Nathan Karnes asking for his blessing.
Andrew proposed on January 11th. He surprised Natalya by taking her to the beach before dinner. While at Laguna Beach, Andrew found a private spot and got down on one knee. It was a very intimate moment between the two. Andrew's parents surprised them at the beach after the proposal. Andrew told Natalya he was taking her to Chilis after (they did not end up going to Chilis). Andrew took Natalya to the Summit House and surprised her with her parents! They flew in from Oregon for the surprise proposal. It was the most perfect night and a moment they will cherish forever.
