FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please respond through our website by September 1. Your timely response is key to making sure everyone who plans to be in attendance is accounted for so we can have an accurate food, drink, table and chair count.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony begins at 4:30 pm. Guests are welcome to arrive at 4:00. Please be on time to the ceremony. Late attendees can cause distraction for other guests and those who are in the wedding.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Our event will be dressy-casual. We want all of our guests to feel comfortable in their attire. Our venue is not equipped with AC/Heat. Fall weather can be unpredictable, so we suggest planning ahead with layers. Grass may be wet so be aware of high heels sinking into the ground. Finally, please remember that white is reserved for the bride.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Our event is RSVP only. We have created a strict guest list to accommodate our venue and budget. Your invitation will state if you have a plus one.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We both come from big families and wish we could have everyone here. Unfortunately, we do not have the space to accomodate for everyone's children. Please refer to your invitation to see the guests invited from your party.

Question

What if I can't make it to the wedding?

Answer

We will miss you! But, we understand that not everyone will be able to be in attendance. We do ask that you please still respond to the RSVP so we can get an accurate headcount.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes. We are catering in Famous Dave’s which is not a verified allergen free restaurant as cross contamination can occur. Please let us know in your RSVP if you have a food allergy and would like a separate meal. If you would like to take a look at our menu for the evening, we would be happy to share it with you!

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have a block of rooms booked out at both AmeriVu Inn and Holiday Inn in St. Croix Falls. Ask for a room in the Peterson/Boyd wedding block to receive our discounted rate. We recommend that you reserve a room ASAP as they can fill up quickly and after a certain date any rooms that have not been reserved will no longer be offered at a discounted rate. There are other hotels in the surrounding area as well.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes. There is free parking for our event. All festivities will take place at the same location. You have the option to leave your car overnight if you so choose. You will need to arrange a pick up plan for your car by 11 am on Sunday, September 28.

Question

Is there transportation to the hotel from the reception?

Answer

Yes. There will be a shuttle at the end of the night that will depart around 11:30 PM to take any guests to our two hotel recommendations. No other stops will be made. Please make responsible choices.
