North Florida is known for its gorgeous oak trees, rivers and natural springs with Lake City located smack dab in the middle of it! Though, you may not feel up to diving into the 72◦F water in the middle of winter, the link below will direct you toward other fun things to do in the Lake City area such as breweries, restaurants, antique shopping and activity-filled parks (paddling, biking and alligator watching (not kidding)). We recommend staying in this town as it is ~30 minutes from our wedding venue in Live Oak and has more to offer activity-wise when compared to surrounding towns! Weather in January averages a high of 64◦F and a low of 40◦F (you're welcome in advance to our northern friends).
