It all started in August of 2020 when we matched on Bumble. Natalie sent Zach a cheesy pick-up line about him being either a "cutecumber" or a "fineapple," and Zach was hooked. But honestly, it was his profile picture with his cat, Loki, that caught Natalie’s attention, and she couldn’t help but want to know more! As the relationship grew, Zach wanted to live together before getting engaged, while Natalie had her heart set on getting engaged before moving in together. Eventually, Natalie agreed to move in, but with a condition: if we weren’t engaged within 6 months to a year, she was packing up and moving out! (Okay, we know that sounds harsh now, but hey, it worked out!) Fast forward to Christmas, six months after we moved in. By then, Natalie had told Zach that she didn’t want to get engaged on a holiday, so she was honestly not expecting anything. We exchanged gifts the week before Christmas (since we were spending the actual holiday with our families), and Zach gave her a giant bag filled with a series of smaller wrapped boxes. Natalie opened ten different boxes, each one more confusing than the last, until finally, she reached a ring box! Natalie was absolutely shocked, heart racing, and was about to cry. But when she opened the box, there was a sticky note inside that said, “Can you believe it? 6 more months!” At that point, she was pretty sure she glared at Zach, but then he walked over, got down on one knee, and pulled the ring out of his pocket. It might’ve been a little unconventional, but it was us, and our story matches our relationship dynamic perfectly. And honestly, we wouldn’t have had it any other way. We can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of you!
