It all started the night of Natalie’s senior year homecoming. Despite her unwillingness to go to the dance, Natalie’s friends convinced her. Following the dance one of her girlfriends had a few friends come over her house. It was there, in a Centreville town house when Zack and Natalie met. They were inseparable that evening. A kiss on a front stoop and he swept her away.

One simple click and it all began. This time was different. After many years through adolescence and six years of not speaking to one another, Natalie and Zack reconnected. Over numerous conversations leading into the early morning hours and some heart felt and hard discussions, they met at Lazy Dog to work through their hardships. The first date on August 31st was met with tears, understanding and a connection they couldn’t fight anymore. Upon the second date when Natalie walked up to meet Zack he stated he “is all in”! This left Natalie a little flabbergasted as she thought they were going to begin a friendship. Neither of them could fight the inevitable anymore. They both took a chance on one another and made the leap to be in a relationship. A big step for both of them and one that would change both of their lives forever!

It was a few days following Natalie’s birthday, when Zack decided to surprise Natalie and the children with a hike and picnic at Government Island. After reaching a spot where Natalie took a photo of Zack and the children previously, Zack had the idea of reenacting the photo with Natalie. It was there on bended knee Zack asked Natalie to marry him! After saying yes they finished the hike and enjoyed a picnic in the bed of his truck. Snacks and champagne provided including sparkling cider for the children to enjoy as they celebrated the next step of becoming a family!
