Despite both growing up in Wallingford, in homes only a mile apart, we didn't first meet until Tucker needed to find a date to take to the Spring dance. We were matched up by friends who were planning to go to the dance together. When sixteen-year-old sophomore Tucker finally built up the confidence to ask seventeen-year-old junior Natalie, we met in the hallway of Strath Haven High School between classes. Tucker remembers Natalie wearing a Flyers jersey that day, making a strong first impression. Natalie said yes, and soon after we went on our first date: Rita's Water Ice on Providence Road. Natalie picked Tucker up for the date, as she would almost every time for several years to come. Tucker was in no rush to get his driver's license now that he had a new girlfriend with her own car! Natalie didn't mind... as long as Tucker treated her to Rita's when she was in the mood for it (very often)!
Tucker told Natalie he scheduled a couple's photoshoot for the two of them after Natalie suggested the idea. A photographer she knew was holding "Golden Hour" sessions in the Brandywine Creek, and she said it looked like it could be fun. Natalie was shocked that Tucker actually took her up on this idea, but she didn't realize he had bigger plans in mind. Tucker coordinated with the photographer to surprise Natalie in the middle of the photoshoot by having Natalie turn away while Tucker got on one knee.
