Our engagement story! (Written by Natalie in an attempt to practice her Greek) Ήταν Δευτέρα, 30 Μαΐου 2022. Ο Θόδωρος και η Ναταλί βρισκόντουσαν στην Μονεμβασιά για το γάμο της Alyssa Raisis δυο μέρες πριν. (Shoutout Alyssa! Ήταν ένας τέλειος γάμος!) O Θόδωρος και η Ναταλί έκαναν παρέα με τον Will και την Emily στην παραλία. Ο Θόδωρος πρότεινε να πάμε όλοι μαζί σε ένα καλό εστιατόριο εκείνο το βράδυ για φαγητό και ποτό. Η Ναταλί λάτρευε εκείνη την ιδέα. Δεν είχε καμία ιδέα τι θα γίνει. Πρώτα όλοι γυρίσανε στο ξενοδοχείο για να ετοιμαστούν για το βράδι. Όταν η Ναταλί ήταν τελικά έτοιμη (είναι πόλη αργή), συνάντησαν πάλι με τον Will και την Emily και περπάτησαν στο κάστρο. Ο Θόδωρος και ο Will ήδη είχαν επιλέξει κρυφά το τέλειο μέρος για την πρόταση. Ο Θόδωρος ήξερε ότι η Ναταλί θα παραπονιόταν όταν κατάλαβε ότι δεν περπατούσαν τον γρηγορότερο δρόμο στο εστιατόριο, αλλά δεν πείραζε τελικά γιατί η έκπληξη στο τέλος ήταν η καλύτερη στιγμή στην ζωή της. How Natalie and Theo Met
Although Theo and Natalie attended the University of Delaware together (Natalie Class of '13 and Theo Class of '12) with multiple mutual friends, they never connected beyond an underwhelming "Hello". It was not until August of 2019 that one of their mutual friends, Anna Trazanova, decided to get married 7 hours away on a camp ground in New Hampshire! Needless to say, Natalie was not about to drive 7 hours unless someone found her and her date, Teresa, a chauffer. Anna dug deep into her guest list to search for someone patient enough from the greater Philadelphia area to taxi the two lovely ladies from Delaware to New Hampshire. In comes Theo the Chauffer to the rescue! Theo, who had just returned from his annual trip to Greece, was still in vacation mode so he likely would have said yes to anything. Theo, Natalie and Teresa embarked on a 7 hour journey that was sure to include: 1) Multiple restroom breaks 2) Lots of loud noises 3) Lots of laughs 4) A hefty speeding ticket and 5) VERY interesting conversation It was through this 14 hour round trip that Theo and Natalie formed a bond built on honesty, patience, communication and genuinely shared life values. Ever since that day, Theo and Natalie continued to construct their lives on that very foundation. They, with the help of their family and friends, will continue to expand upon their love and continue to demand better for each other each and every day. The rest, as they say, is history.
