Maid of Honor
Fondly known as my "Life Big", Courtney has become a big sister to me and has graciously walked through so much life with me since we met when she was in college and I was an annoying middle schooler.
Best Man
Ben is a music-loving, art-making, 90's-clothes-wearing pal, who I care about a lot! We met when he was still in high school and I was a freshman at Union, but it wasn't until he came to Union himself that we really hit it off, bonding over a shared love of music and coffee, among other things. Through the past few years, Ben has become a dear friend, and I can't really imagine my life without him.
Bridesmaid
Marianne became friends with me despite thinking that I was blowing her off for coffee and for that I am grateful. College has been significantly better with this fun-loving and genuine friend who joins me in Mamma Mia sing alongs and indulging in treats not meant for lactose-intolerant people like ourselves. I'm also extremely serious in my quest to become a true Rivera and they're so kind to let me think I am.
Groomsman
Blake is my oldest brother, and was one of my first friends. Blake has remained a role model for me as we've grown up, and I will always be thankful for the times that he let his lame little brother hang around his cool older friends!
Bridesmaid
Though she's taller, she's my younger sister-cousin (a very real familial title we came up with). Payton brings the cool and trendy and is already keeping me young. She's also endured me being her youth leader and co-worker the past few years so.
Groomsman
Chandler is also my older brother; this time its only by a year and a half, though. We shared a room for a good portion of our young-adult life, so it goes without saying that we have a bond that only brothers know. Our close proximity in age sometimes causes us to butt heads, but, in the end, I know I will always have Chandler in my corner.
Bridesmaid
My roommate and the one who introduced us. She called us getting together from the beginning, and even told my mom before she told me. This sister has seen me at my best and worst and will listen like no other, march like no other, and fashion show in our rooms with me like no other, too.
Groomsman
Clark Hubbard is the most likable and charismatic man in all of West Tennessee, and, if you know him at all, you know how lucky you are if you can call him a friend. Clark is a brilliant author and poet, a talented barista, and one of the most genuine humans around. Even though our friendship began because of his long arms and my need of a good selfie, it has continued on through some of the most trying times in college, and I will be forever grateful.
Bridesmaid
My roommate and friend who has both driven me around to practices when I didn't yet have a license and now buys us toilet paper when I forget it at the store. She's always teaching me to care more about others and knows how to plan a great birthday celebration. Heather is just great. That's all there is to it.
Groomsman
Josh Mays is the sweetheart of Chattanooga, Tennessee. We met in Men's Chorus early in Freshman year when Josh showed me the best meme that I have ever seen. We began to play music together that Spring, and from there we grew closer, eventually becoming roommates! Although Josh studies Conservation Biology and is going to save the world someday, he saves enough room in that big brain of his to care deeply about Philosophy and Literature, two of our favorite conversation topics.
Bridesmaid
My roommate most likely to actually make our house look nice and fun, Kelsey has been so important to my recent years in Jackson. She helps us all like dogs and think about life a little more. I've shared many a Rock n Dough brunch and action movie with this sister and I'm thankful.
Groomsman
Christopher "Bobo" Roberts moved in with me his freshman year of college and rapidly became one of my dearest friends. Besides his stunning good looks—he once had hair that was the envy of every man (and woman) on Union's campus—, Christopher is also one of the kindest and most selfless people on this planet. He studies Biology and is literally going to save so many lives one day, and I am so proud of him for that.
Bridesmaid
The sweetest friend that likes me so much that she came to the same college as me when I begged her to and picked my same major. She's breathed new life in to my time in college and is wise beyond her years. Glad to have this encouraging and cool girl to tell all my dumb worries to and know that I'm not the only one FReaKINg oUt.
Groomsman
Luke Sower also moved in with me his freshman year of college, and we quickly bonded over our shared interests in music, good books, and quirky historical events. Although I met Luke before he came to Union and unsuccessfully tried to sneak him into a 21+ concert during his orientation weekend (oops), living together for two years was an adventure, and I am thankful for the friendship it formed.
Bridesmaid
Perhaps my most recent best pal, Kaylee and I met during her freshman year of college last year. Kaylee is so spunky and has some serious grit that I admire. She's taught me tons about being genuine and fun. She's often found making beautiful coffee for money or turning thrifted tees in to embroidered gems.
Groomsman
Reilly was my freshman-year roommate and my first friend at college. No memory of that first year, whether in our room, in Barefoots, or out and about Jackson, is complete without him. He never had a problem saying what everyone else was feeling, and to this day is one of the most genuine folks I know. Reilly married Rachel this past Summer, and I had the honor of standing with him as a groomsman, so I am so glad to have him with me this this March!
Bridesmaid
Nar shared a room with me for a year, so for enduring the messiness alone, she's a saint. Nar and I have danced ballet together for several years, were roommates for a few of those, and served as high school youth leaders together. A bond that cannot be broken.
Groomsman
If the name didn't tip you off, Isaac Pflasterer is Natalie's little brother. More than that, though, he has become a friend over the past few years of dating his sister, even if, over Thanksgiving dinner, he once told me that I didn't belong in his family because of my love for M. Night Shyamalan films. Isaac is a kind pal who always cares about others, and I am thankful to be gaining him as a brother!
Bridesmaid
Sweet Olivia and I met our freshman year of college. We share a love of cozy things and clothes that are bougier than our budgets. Olivia and i trekked through the unknown of new friends, new life goals, and new boyfriends and I've always felt like she's on my team.
Groomsman
Chris Harker is my oldest and best friend. I met Chris in the third grade, and we have been nearly inseparable since. We lived right around the corner from each other for our entire lives, and nearly every fond memory of my middle and high school years involves him. Chris is an extremely talented musician (you could maybe find a YouTube clip somewhere), and I am incredibly thankful for a friend like him, who has stuck through thick and thin with me for more than 10 years!
Flower Brother
Natalie and Isaac's 3 year old brother. He's perfect and rowdy, and gonna be dancing it out.
Flower Brother
Shea, Blake and Chandler's 11 year old brother who can run laps around anyone and only pretends to be shy.
