Natalie and Sam weren't always focused on finding "the one". They were focused on other aspects of life - family, friends, school (and more school for Natalie), their careers, and just figuring out life independently. Sam followed a winding career path that led him to buying a house in Dexter, Michigan - where Natalie and her family landed back in 2006. He was settling into his house in early 2024, struggling to make it a real home. At the same time, Natalie was on a rare vacation and decided to do some swiping on a dating app. She came across Sam and thought, "Who is this guy? He's my age, and it says he lives in Dexter." Dexter is a small town, and Natalie assumed she should know every person around her age that lived there. After discussing Sam's profile with a close friend, Natalie decided to swipe "yes" on Sam. The timing was perfect. The two messaged back and forth for a couple weeks, until Natalie came back from her vacation. Finally, they met, and it was perfect from the start. From constant dinner dates to park visits with Sam's dog, the two quickly became inseparable and never looked back. The next year was the best of their lives. Disneyland, sporting events, graduation parties, the Minnesota State Fair, holidays, Johnny Appleseed Fest, family time, Broadway shows, hanging with their pets, a visit to Florida, ice cream trips, making the house a home, and so much more. Memories were made every day, and here's to memories made for a lifetime ahead.
