It all started back at Peachtree Ridge High School in Suwanee, GA where we first became acquainted through a mutual friend (shout out class of 2010 & shout out Taylor!). Despite knowing each other back then, we never said more than a few words to each other all throughout high school. In fact, Patrick knew Natalie's brother Zach a bit better than he knew Natalie. Fast forward 12 years later, we both happened to be at the rooftop of an Atlanta restaurant called Grana after work one evening in October of 2022. Patrick recognized Natalie from across the rooftop, and with a little bit of encouragement he decided to approach her table and say hello - or more accurately, "Natalie Morgan?" Seeing as we had not seen or heard from each other in over a decade, Natalie had no idea who this stranger was at first glance and had what Patrick calls a look of pure panic on her face. Being the kind man he is, Patrick re-introduced himself, chatted for a minute, and gave Natalie his number. After dinner, Natalie immediately texted her best friends (one of which who was Taylor, obviously) who said she should go for it - so she did. Our first date was at Bar Taco (still one of our favorites), and we joke that our second date was in Nicaragua at our friends' wedding just 5 weeks later (thank you Angelita & Fernando!). We took the small foundation that we already had and ran with it. The rest is history. Whether our (re-)meeting at Grana was the universe conspiring or pure luck, we can't imagine life now had that moment not happened. More importantly, we feel so grateful to our friends and family for the support over these past 3 years that has made this decision to spend our lives together an even easier one.
