In the midst of the world’s uncertainty during the pandemic, Owen and Natalie’s love story began with a quiet yet unforgettable first date. With limited options for outings, they found themselves wandering hand-in-hand around the serene Linlithgow Loch, then meandering along the peaceful canal. They walked for hours, the day fading into evening, until the air turned chilly and the darkness set in. They even had to do an emergency pit-stop at Tesco for some paracetamol to help with Owens hangover! After their stroll, she kindly drove him to McDonald's for a much needed comfort meal - a true "Ronald McDonald" remedy! Their first date was filled with laughter, playful banter, and shared memories of travels they’d taken before the world had changed. They spoke fondly of their love for Hong Kong, having both visited it many times, and dreamed of returning together once the world reopened. Fast forward to April 2nd, 2023: after an unforgettable weekend of rugby sevens, a scenic cruise on the Star Ferry, and a romantic dinner overlooking the twinkling lights of Hong Kong Harbour, Owen proposed to Natalie in the very city that had already captured their hearts. Now, they stand ready to begin the next chapter of their journey, hand in hand, and look forward to celebrating their love with all their friends and family at the stunning Carlowrie Castle.
