Natalie and Marnie met online. Their first date was at the Rosa Mexicana restaurant at Union Square, in New York City. It was a blistering hot day and Natalie arrived first. Marnie called to say she was running late, and mentioned how cool it was in the air-conditioned subway car. Jokingly, Natalie told her to stay on the train. “Just keep going,” she said, "the heat is unbearable today!” That made Marnie laugh, but fortunately she got off at her stop and the two had drinks at the bar. Drinks turned into dinner and four hours of conversation, laughter, discovery and obvious chemistry. They both walked away from that first date thinking the same thing... This could be something…
After three years together, (which included a nine-month quarantine allowing the girls to really get to know one another), Natalie proposed to Marnie. The proposal included some of Marnie's family and friends, as well as her mom Susan who was up from Florida for Thanksgiving and Chanukah. Natalie proposed to an unsuspecting Marnie that afternoon. The event took place at Aunt Wendy and Uncle Rich's home on Long Island. Aunt Lonnie was there, along with Marnie's "frousins" Caryn and Jill. When Natalie got down on one knee and popped the question, Marnie was shocked and almost speechless, but she managed to get out two words... "heck yeah!" Natalie & Marnie are so excited to celebrate this next chapter in their lives with you. Hope to see you on July 9th in New York City!
