We met at our first job together when we were 17/18 years old back in 2012. Justin was always getting yelled at by our manager because he was always getting caught chatting me up at the host stand. He drove me to my car at the very back of the mall parking lot one night after closing at work so I didn't have to walk alone. He asked for my phone number that night and texted me everyday ever since just to say good morning or to see how my day is going. We quickly became best friends and continued to stand by each other as we grew throughout the years, picked each other up when things got tough, and encourage each other to always be better than we were yesterday.

In the winter of 2019, he drove me to a lake nearby where my Dad had taught me to fish for the first time in my hometown in New Mexico. It wasn't until we began driving back toward the entrance of the lake where we stopped to take more pictures and he got down on one knee and popped the question with the frozen lake in the background.
