Hiking Mount Katahdin in Baxter State Park has been on our bucket list for awhile, so we finally decided to pack up the car and head to Maine with a few friends and make the trek up this 5,200 ft high mountain. Plans suddenly changed when we got to the park gate, we were 20 minutes too late and the parking lot to Katahdin was full. So instead we hiked a slightly smaller mountain next to Katahdin called Mt. Coe. 3.5 hours later, we reached the summit and the view was breathtaking- blue skies, mountains, valleys and trees for miles. After admiring the view and snapping some photos, I turned around to find Juri getting down on one knee. Once the shock factor subsided, I said "YES" and now we are engaged!
We tied the knot - COVID style! We had a difficult decision to make, but ultimately decided we did not want to postpone our wedding yet another year in hopes that we would be able to have the big wedding we originally planned. So we had a very small, intimate ceremony at beautiful Gallary 78 downtown Fredericton and decided to have the reception later when more family and friends were able to travel to NB and attend. We had the most amazing day and cannot wait to celebrate with the ones we love!
