The whole event (ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, dance) will be taking place on the Halifax waterfront at Daryâ! The name Daryâ, which translates to “sea” or “ocean” in Persian, serves as a nod to both the restaurant’s waterfront location as well as to the Eastern Mediterranean seaboard.
The venue is fully accessible.
Paid parking is available on the street, underneath the Queen's Marque in the parkade, and a 5 minute walk away at Purdy's Wharf.
If you are unable to walk to the venue, carpool, Uber, taxi, or Halifax Transit are other options for getting to the venue. Lower Water Street can be busy so plan accordingly.
Yes we do! Check out the "Hotels" tab on this website for more information.

The food will be Eastern Mediterranean-inspired. While the exact menu is not available until closer to the event please feel free to explore the Daryâ website to get familiar with the type of food that will be served.
Family style! A family-style wedding meal looks a lot like traditional family dinners where large platters of prepared food are placed in the center of each table for everyone to share. Instead of receiving a pre-plated meal, each guest takes turns serving themselves from the communal dishes. We hope this will engage our guests and create a familia atmosphere. Don't worry, we'll seat you with people you know so you won't have to worry about sharing with strangers!
While there won't be an open bar, there will be a welcome drink and wine served at dinner.
Unfortunately, we cannot host any children at our wedding. We appreciate your understanding.
While your presence at our wedding is gift enough, we will be adding a registry to our website at a later date.
