4:15 PM! 4:15 PM! 4:15 PM! When?? 4:15 PM!!! That's Central Standard Time Folks! This is incredibly important. The Trail of Lights is opening up the VIP parking area for us early in order to accommodate our guests and ensure everyone arrives at the Cabana ON TIME. Our wedding ceremony begins promptly at 5:00 PM...remember people, we're chasing daylight here!! More on road closures, parking and directions below.
There are a very LIMITED number of parking spaces available for purchase. Through this link here: https://tol2024hospitality.ticketbud.com/austin-trail-of-lights-holiday-party-sunday-12-15-24-6-00pm-10-00pm-776138dd-92fa457885f8?pc=24HPWED Note it's $25+ fees = $33.06 per pass. There is a limit of one (1) parking pass per transaction. We recommend carpooling, Ubering, and planning ahead. The road closes at 5 PM so if you are late, there's not much we can do to help. We don't want anyone to miss the most important part of this evening and that's our wedding ceremony. AT 5:00 PM CST SHARP. It will be brief, so don't blink. But please please please arrive no later than 4:15 PM. We have arranged golf carts to shuttle guests to and from the guest parking area to our cabana.
The wedding is “festive cocktail” attire with black tie optional. The couple is also asking that every guest wear red or green. PLEASEEEEE. After all, it is a Christmas Wedding.
You’re encouraged to wear comfortable shoes that you’re okay getting dirt on. If you want to start with sexy shoes and swap to tennis shoes you’ll be in good company with Nat! Yep, she will be rocking her couture dress in tennis shoes for the Trail of Lights walk. And you better believe she'll be getting pictures with her newly betrothed husband, Jordan, on the GIANT Ferris Wheel!! We also think boots would be a great option for the night, it covers the Texas "black-tie" look and plus, boots are made for walking, that's just what they'll do...
Note: This is the ONLY way to arrive to our wedding. Please follow these instructions in order to be able to attend The Neumann Christmas Wedding. These arrival instructions are also for guests arriving in UBER/LYFT. You WILL have to guide your driver as this is not the traditional arrival spot. And PLEASE arrive at 4:15 PM. When the ToL is open to the public, it gets an average of 40,000 people walking through each night. That's like an entire stadium of people. Damn! What if I hate crowds? You're not alone. That's why we have secured individual tickets for each of our guests to enjoy the walk "semi-privately." That said there are other private parties in other cabanas and between 6 and 7 the Trail is open for other small VIP groups. So there could be 1,500 other guests and up to 3,000 max people walking the trail over the course of that hour. But trust us, its is so big we will still feel like we have the place to ourselves. PARENTS, please be mindful that other people will be on the trail during that hour. Make sure someone always has eyes on your kiddo(s). Use the buddy system. Consider a light up necklace/wristband as it will be dark. There are a lot of kiddos coming. Your child will be in great company!
YES!! And it would be super helpful if you indicated whether your child is 7 years old or older per the requirements for our guest count/catering.
Noooo no no, the trail is on a very manicured park path. It's the Central Park of Austin. That said there may be dirt. From where the wedding and reception are, guests will have a shortcut to the traditional entrance of the Trail of Lights. If you would like to walk the full trail it is a 1.2 mile walk. WHAAAATTT?! Don't worry we have an hour to leisurely enjoy the walk between 6 and 7 PM. After that, it's back to the tent for light bites, dancing, cake, cookies and cocoa! If that's too much walking for you, there will be another shortcut to start your stroll midway through the trail (at the Ferris Wheel). And if you simply don't want to walk at all or you are not physically able to, that's perfectly ok! We have beautiful velvet lounge couches and benches to relax on in the heated tent while you mix and mingle until the rest of us get back!
The Trail of Lights (ToL) is an event that transforms Zilker Park into a winter wonderland as it's lit up by more than 2 million lights, 90 lighted holiday trees and more than 70 other holiday displays and lighted tunnels. It's also home to the famous giant Christmas Tree created with a historic Moontower at the center. As a child, Natalie loved spinning around under the giant tree of lights, gazing up in awe at the twinkling displays—until she eventually got dizzy and fell over.
If it says "+1", you get to bring a date! If not, come ready to make new friends (because you will). We're keeping things intimate, but incredibly fun.
As a sober couple, we’ve decided not to serve alcohol at our wedding in order to keep the celebration family-friendly and focused on creating a joyful, inclusive atmosphere for everyone. While we won’t be offering alcohol at the event itself, there will be places outside the Cabana and along the Trail of Lights where guests can purchase drinks if they wish. We ask that everyone please enjoy the festivities responsibly. Our priority is for all guests to have a great time while maintaining a respectful and considerate environment. We kindly request that no one overindulges or gets drunk, as that is not the kind of celebration we want to see. Thank you for your understanding and for helping us keep the event fun and memorable for everyone! You may surprise yourself, and realize you can enjoy the spirit of the holiday without spirits!
No. Figured we would add this to the FAQ because we have frequently been asked this question. Despite the fact that its a pretty gauche and invasive question, the answer is no, Natalie is not pregnant, nor will she be any time soon. Ask us again in a year or two... Okay, then why are you getting married so quickly? It was very important to us to get married this year for a few reasons: 1. We thought it was a powerful way to show our future kiddos how much their parents love each other, that they decided to get married the same year they met. 2. Both Natalie and Jordan have "inner buck the system" personalities and often go against the grain, and in the past, the rules...They aren't rule breakers anymore, but they still consider themselves disrupters of the norm. Every time Natalie saw a "1 year out wedding checklist" it made her cringe. She didn't want to be one of those brides who was engaged for over a year. They thought, if people can plan holiday parties in under 30 days, why can't we plan a wedding in under 30 days? 3. Natalie loves numerology and takes after her late Uncle David (dad's brother) in assigning meaning to numbers. And if you add up the numbers of 2024...2+0+2+4 that equals...8 Nice work! Now, put 8 on its side, and you've got infinity! And THAT'S how long Jordan and Natalie will be together. 4. When you know you know. They know. So why wait?! See you on December 15, 2024...exactly 169 days after they met. Heyyyy you know, 1 + 6 + 9 is 16 and 1 + 6 = 7 and 7 is God's perfect number! So there ya have it, folks. Jordan and Natalie are also getting married on the perfect day.
