When and where are the ceremony and reception taking place?

Answer

The ceremony will be at Saint Michael Byzantine Catholic Church (166 E College St, Canonsburg, PA 15317) at 1pm. The reception will be at The National Aviary (700 Arch St, Pittsburgh, PA 15212) at 6pm.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We kindly ask that you arrive and be seated 15-20 minutes before the ceremony begins. The ceremony will begin promptly at 1pm. There will be a bit of a gap between the ceremony and reception. During this time feel free to rest, freshen up, & explore around our city. The reception will begin at 6pm. Please do not arrive early as no one will be admitted entrance until this time. We are so excited to celebrate, dance, eat, drink, and begin this next chapter of our lives together with you! :)

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We'd love to see our friends and family dress up with us! We are requesting semi-formal/cocktail attire for our wedding. We kindly ask that you avoid colors traditionally reserved for the bride: whites, ivories, and creams.

Can I bring a date or my children?

Answer

We are only able to accommodate the guests formally invited on your wedding invitations. If you received a plus one or your children are invited, they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Please ensure that you are RSVPing for your entire party.

Will the wedding take place indoors or outside?

Answer

Pittsburgh is typically very cold in February. The ceremony and reception will both take place indoors.

Do you have a registry?

Answer

Your presence on our wedding day is the greatest gift of all, but if you feel inclined to give more, we are registered through both Zola and Target! Please see our “Registry” page or visit our Target registry at: www.target.com/gift-registry/gift/the-carrs-2024

Will there be a bar?

Answer

Yes! Various beers, wines, two signature cocktails, and non-alcoholic drinks are on us!

Can I bring my own adult beverages?

Answer

We will be supplying alcohol and have a catering service who will be handling the beverages. Due to venue policy and regulations, you are not allowed to bring any other alcoholic beverages onto the property.

What if I have food allergies?

Answer

Please let us know when you RSVP if you have any food allergies! There will be a space where you can provide this information to us. We would love to try to accommodate your food needs to the best of our abilities, so please let us know as soon as possible so we can coordinate with our caterer.

Will there be kid’s meals available?

Answer

We will have a kid’s buffet available for any children under 16 years old. The kid’s buffet will include: chicken tenders, french fries, cheese pizza, & fresh fruit. Please remember to RSVP for any children invited that you will be bringing!

Will there be free parking?

Answer

There will be free parking at both our ceremony and reception venues. If you choose to drive, please drink responsibly. Uber and Lyft are both available in the area. The National Aviary allows for cars to be left overnight if needed!
