Jance and Natalie first met when Natalie was finishing her final year at IU, as she was interviewing for her job with Miller’s Health Systems. Jance had been graduated from IU for almost 5 years at that point. Later that year Natalie was offered the job, and they both were working for Miller’s. Natalie and Jance both worked in different parts of the state and very rarely crossed paths. It wasn’t until they both attended the infamous Country Concert in Fort Loramie, Ohio that they truly met. Natalie had been going to the concert for years with her friends, and it had become an annual tradition. After beginning work with Miller’s, Natalie planned her usual summer trip to Country Concert with her friends. Little did she know Jance was planning to also go with his friends! After being at the concert a few days Natalie was walking through the crowd (cooler in tow and trying to hold as many beers as possible) when she heard someone yelling out her name. She looked up and saw Jance waving her over to his group of friends. Natalie was initially shocked and embarrassed that someone she knew professionally was seeing her in a very unprofessional setting. Jance’s friends welcomed her with open arms and homemade moonshine to ease the nerves! Jance and Natalie didn’t speak for over a year before Jance asked Natalie out on their first date, and the rest is history! Jance proposed to Natalie on the beach in Siesta Key, Florida while on a family vacation a few years later. He proposed in June, but had the ring since February that year. To hide the ring from Natalie he stored it in his tackle box, where he knew she’d never see it. Jance and Natalie continue to both work for Miller’s and now live in Indianapolis. Jance has graciously welcomed Natalie’s 9 year old yellow lab Beau in to his life, and has learned to share Natalie and the couch!
