What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

Daily high temperatures decrease by 9°F, from 83°F to 74°F, rarely falling below 63°F or exceeding 90°F.

Are the ceremony and reception at the same place?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception are at the Melady House.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, the ceremony will be outside at the front of the house and the reception inside.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the bride, groom and family will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can head straight to the reception hall where we will be serving beverages and dinner.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

“We recommend that you arrive 30 minutes before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled!”

Question

Will transportation be provided between to/from the hotel?

Answer

The Hampton Inn will provide a shuttle with limited space to the Melady House for our wedding, times will be added (TBD). Uber is available/new in the Alexandria area. If you want to explore the area we recommend you get a rental car.
