Travel & Accommodations

The Wedding Website of Natalie Duncan and Isaac Slone
For our out of town family & friends, our wedding ceremony is in downtown Roanoke. We know many of you coming from Missouri so we've included some information about planes, trains, and automobiles below (no horseback riding required).

Hotel

SpringHill Suites by Marriott Roanoke

301 Reserve Avenue Southwest, Roanoke, VA 24016
 540-400-6226

We have 10 rooms blocked off at the hotel closest to our reception site that will offer a shuttle for guests. These are all King suites (king bed plus a sofa sleeper) set at a locked in rate of $174 a night for November 3rd and 4th (must book both nights to get the rate). A shuttle will be available to and from our reception for invited guests. To use any of the rooms on this block, you must book by Wednesday October 4th, 2023. Hotel includes a buffet breakfast, fitness center, indoor pool, laundry, and parking. Several local restaurants and a brewery are within easy walking distance. Located within 7 miles of the Roanoke airport or within 2 miles of the Amtrak train station.

Hotel

King George Inn Bed & Breakfast

315 King George Avenue Southwest, Roanoke, VA 24016

Interested in a local bed and breakfast? The King George Inn had 4 rooms available the last we checked at $185 a night (two night minimum)! This is also within walking distance of our reception venue for invited guests.

Flight

Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport

We do have a regional airport in Roanoke that has flights through Delta, American and United Airlines. For Natalie's family likely flying out of Kansas City, there are no direct flights. American Airlines looks to be the most cost effective with plane tickets around $450 - $500 round trip for 11/3 - 11/5. A cheaper option may be to fly in Dulles International Airport in Northern Virginia (3.5 hour drive) or Charlotte International in North Carolina (3 hour drive) and rent a vehicle to drive. We also have an Amtrak Station in Roanoke. Check out the Dulles & Charlotte Airport options to see Amtrak options!

Train

Amtrak from Dulles International

There are three stations within a 30 minute cab/Uber ride. We recommend using the Manassas Station. USUALLY, there is a 9am (arrives in Roanoke at 1:15pm) and 6pm (arrives in Roanoke at 10pm) train on weekdays. This is the route we are most familiar with, but does take longer than flying directly into Roanoke or driving from Charlotte.

Flight

Charlotte Douglas International Airport

Charlotte is only a three hour drive from Roanoke! If flying into Charlotte we definitely recommend renting a vehicle and driving up to Roanoke (it's a gorgeous drive!). Greyhound bus is slow and unpredictable on that route. Amtrak trains require a change of trains and can take up to 16 hours... so not the best route.
