Si no nos contactan, asumiremos que celebran desde lejos y no tendremos cubiertos preparados. Kindly RSVP by the date listed so we can save your seat and your dinner. ¡No hay misa esta vez! La Iglesia Católica aún no está lista para bodas LGBTQ+ fabulosas. Pero no se preocupen, tendremos un momento religioso especial durante la ceremonia para celebrar la fe, el amor y la familia. No mass this time! The Catholic Church isn’t quite ready for fabulous LGBTQ+ weddings. But don’t worry—we’ll still have a special religious moment during the ceremony to celebrate faith, love, and family.

What is El Baile del Dólar (Dollar Dance)? ¿Qué es el Baile del Dólar?

El Baile del Dólar is a traditional Mexican wedding dance where guests dance with the brides and pin or gift money as a way to celebrate, show love, and support the newlyweds as they begin their married life. El Baile del Dólar es una tradición en las bodas mexicanas donde los invitados bailan con las novias y les colocan o entregan dinero como muestra de cariño y apoyo para comenzar su vida juntas. Is this tradition required? ¿Es obligatorio participar? Not at all. Participation is completely optional. Join in if you’d like and feel comfortable—your presence and love mean everything to us. Para nada. Participar es completamente opcional. Acompáñennos solo si así lo desean y se sienten cómodos—su presencia y cariño es lo más importante. Who will be dancing? ¿Quiénes bailarán? Both brides will be dancing—because two brides means double the love and double the fun. Las dos novias estarán bailando—porque dos novias significan el doble de amor y el doble de diversión. What should I bring if I want to participate? ¿Qué debo llevar si quiero participar? If you’d like to take part, feel free to bring cash to pin or hand to the brides. You’re not alone, and you’re very welcome here. A lesbian wedding is just like any other wedding—there will be love, vows, happy tears, great food, dancing, and a whole lot of joy. The only difference is there are two brides instead of a bride and a groom. Come as you are, celebrate with us, and know that all we ask is kindness, respect, and love. No estás solo/a, y eres más que bienvenido/a. Una boda lésbica es como cualquier otra boda—habrá amor, votos, lágrimas felices, buena comida, baile y muchísima alegría. La única diferencia es que hay dos novias en lugar de una novia y un novio. Ven tal como eres, celebra con nosotras y recuerda que lo único que pedimos es respeto, cariño y amor.
