Yes! You should expect to receive a formal invitation in the mail in early August. If you know you will be attending prior to receiving the invitation, we kindly suggest securing your accommodations as soon as possible to ensure you can stay in town.
Ojai has a small handful of hotels located in the heart of town where we recommend that our guests stay. Please see the "Travel & Accommodations" page of our website. October is an EXTREMELY popular time in Ojai and hotels book up very far in advance. To ensure you'll be able to stay in town, we strongly advise our guests to book their accommodations as soon as possible.
For those joining us from out of state, we recommend booking a flight that would arrive to LAX, BUR, or SBA in the mid-morning on Thursday, October 22 if you plan to attend the Welcome Event that evening. We also recommend renting a car for those flying in. Guests can depart as they please on Saturday, October 24. For those who want to enjoy Ojai, we suggest staying an extra day!
Unfortunately, we do not have the capacity for guests to bring a plus one unless already specified on your invitation. As much as we love your little ones, all wedding events will be adult-only. Thank you for understanding!
We will be providing shuttle transportation to and from our wedding ceremony & reception and after party. We will share more information in the near future. Guests will be responsible for their own transportation to and from the Welcome Party event on Thursday, October 22. The Dutchess is located in walking distance of many of the hotels in town, or a short drive. There is ample free street parking near the venue. PLEASE NOTE: Ubers and Lyfts are extremely limited in the Ojai area. Please plan accordingly.
Welcome Party Attire: Elevated Casual. For women, opt for a sundress, midi dress, dressy separates, or a jumpsuit. For men, opt for a button down shirt or polo, dress pants, chinos, or dark wash jeans. Ultimately, think of something you would wear to dinner! Wedding Attire: Ojai Formal. For women, opt for a midi or floor-length dress and gravel-appropriate footwear (e.g. block heels or wedges, avoid stilettos). Patterns, textures, and color are encouraged. For men, a suit and (optional) tie.
Please reach out to Natalie or Harrison with any questions. We are happy to help!
