Question

What's the story behind Diamond Cross Ranch?

Answer

Surrounded by Bridger-Teton National Forest and Grand Teton National Park, this historic working ranch dates back to 1912 - maintaining its unobstructed views of the Tetons. Family owned, with a rich history and unique story, this tucked away treasure is a quiet reprieve from the bustling energy of Jackson. For the whole story and some beautiful photography, visit their website at http://www.diamondcrossranch.com/the-ranch

Question

What do I wear to the wedding?

Answer

We are not fancy people and this is not a formal affair. We are calling it Dressy Casual. For this time of year in Wyoming, we suggest the following attire: - WOMEN: sundresses, lightweight separates, and flats or wedge heels for the outdoor ceremony on the lawn. - MEN: light dress shirt with khaki or light weight slacks. Jackets, ties, and cowboy hats are optional. We also suggest sunglasses and/or sun hats *Average temperatures for July: High (upper 70’s - low 80’s). Low (mid 40's - low 50's). The ceremony will be outdoors. Dinner and reception will be indoors.

Question

Will transportation to the wedding venue be provided?

Answer

Yes. Shuttle service from Mountain Modern motel to Diamond Cross Ranch will be provided. It’s about a 45 minute drive one way - with spectacular scenery along the way! There is an option to RSVP specifically for the shuttle service. If you prefer to drive there is ample parking available at the venue. NOTE: SHUTTLE SERVICE IS AT CAPACITY. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE PUT ON THE WAIT LIST, PLEASE CONTACT GRANT (206-854-7264) or NATALIE (214-769-9940)

Question

Do I need to rent a car?

Answer

To fully experience the greater Jackson Hole area, we recommend renting a car. The town of Jackson is small and easily walkable. If you’re planning a short stay and don’t want to get out of town, you don’t need a car. Uber and taxi’s are available at the airport - it’s a 15 minute drive to Jackson. But if you want to get out and explore the breathtaking beauty of Wyoming, having your own transportation is a must. All the major rental companies are available. Turo is another great option - it’s like Airbnb for cars.

Question

What are the best lodging options?

Answer

We do have a room block discount at Mountain Modern (see flight/hotel info page) and it is first come first serve. However, you are not limited to this. There are countless hotel/motel options in the Jackson area of varying price points. You may prefer to rent an AirBnB or VRBO, which is a great option to save money with bigger groups and families. Unfortunately, the town of Jackson is very expensive in the summer. The wider you expand your search, the more affordable it becomes.

Question

Am I invited to the Welcome Dinner & the Wedding?

Answer

Yes. Everyone is invited to both the welcome dinner and the wedding. See the (Schedule Page) for more info. Attendance at the welcome dinner is optional. Please RSVP for the events you plan to attend.

Question

I have a food allergy or dietary restriction, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes. The catering company we are working with is very accommodating (and very delicious)! When you RSVP, there will be a text box to include any dietary restrictions you may have. Dinner will be served family style with local ingredients and a Wyoming flare. You will find meat, vegetarian, and gluten free options at each table. If you have a specific food allergy, are vegan, dairy free, etc., please include it with your RSVP.

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

You will be able to RSVP directly on the website. It's the last option at the top of the page (desktop) or the bottom of the drop down menu (mobile). There is no deadline on RSVP's as of yet. Please do so at your earliest convenience.

Question

Will I receive a formal invitation and RSVP by mail?

Answer

No. You will only receive the save the date by mail. We will not be sending out invitations. All the information you need will be available on this website. Please RSVP on the website only.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony begins at 4pm. 3:30 - 3:45 would be a good time to arrive. Shuttle service is available.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We understand that destination weddings can be financially prohibitive for some; so we are asking people not to buy us gifts. Your presence is all the "present" we need. If you feel like you must do something, please see the (Registry Page). We have provided three different non-profit organizations that do amazing work that is important to us for those that desire to contribute.

Question

If I have additional questions, who do I speak to?

Answer

We are here to help any way we can! We are super familiar with this area and all that it has to offer. Please feel free to reach out to Natalie or Grant anytime for any questions that arise or if you need any help planning your amazing getaway to the Jackson area!!!
