When and where is the wedding?

Our ceremony will take place on May 23rd, 2026, at 4 pm. The ceremony begins at 4 pm, with cocktails and dinner to follow.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
Answer
The ceremony will begin at 4 pm. Please arrive 10-15 minutes before the ceremony.

Is there a dress code?
Answer
We kindly ask guests to wear cocktail attire. Think jumpsuits and dresses for the gals. Think khaki pants, trousers, and a nice button-down or polo for the guys.

Are kids invited?
Answer
We love your little ones; however, we have decided to keep our ceremony and reception an adult-only event, except for our flower girls and close family. We encourage you to use this evening as a date night!

Do you have any hotel recommendations?
Answer
We have reserved rooms at two hotels in Council Bluffs, located near I-29. Please see the “Travel” tab for more info. This is approximately a 25-minute drive; shuttles will be provided.

Will the wedding take place indoors or outdoors?
Answer
Our ceremony will be held outside if weather permits. The reception will take place indoors.

Will there be an open bar?
Answer
Yes!! We will have a full bar supplying unlimited drinks all night long.

Will there be shuttles/bus transportation?
Answer
YES!! We will have a bus shuttling guests from the Ameristar Casino parking lot. The first bus is set to leave the parking lot at 3:15. The second round will be picked up at 4:15 prior to the reception. As the night comes to an end, there will be a bus leaving to take guests back to the Ameristar parking lot at 9 pm and 11 pm. OR There is open parking at the Palace Event Center in Treynor, IA, if you choose to drive. We care about your safety and hope you choose the bus option if you plan to hang out with us all night for the open bar!

Can I bring a plus-one?
Answer
If your invitation includes "and guest," then yes! Otherwise, we are keeping our guest list intimate.
Question
Will there be gluten-free/vegetarian/vegan options?
Answer
Yes! Our caterer will provide options for gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian guests. Please let us know any dietary restrictions when you RSVP.
