The Story of Us
How We Met
In September of 2019, I (Dallas) was starting my senior year at BYU and had a renewed conviction to go to ward activities and meet new people that semester. I went to the first activity that semester and introduced myself to a few people. Mere minutes later this cute girl came and sat down on the grass nearby to ask, “Hey, did you say you’re from Dallas?” Well, I’m not, but thank goodness it’s my name! We struck up a conversation, immediately connected over music, with Natalie inviting me to a concert that same week (is anyone surprised?), and we started texting and talking shortly thereafter.
The First Years
Our Time Together in Utah
We began officially dating in mid-November that year, and both finished our time at BYU in December of 2020. After graduating, we both stayed in Provo for 2021, working our jobs remotely and dating each other through the throes of covid. We went hiking, did movie and game nights, co-parented a bearded dragon named Hugo, and eventually got back to concerts together as well.

In May of 2022, Natalie moved to the San Francisco Bay Area as Google had “back to office” orders, and I started a new job in Utah that same month. Over the next years, we focused on our careers, but were still able to focus on each other, growing our relationship and our love. We would talk every single day, and still managed to see each other once a month at the very very least. One of Natalie’s incredible gifts is her willingness to jump on an airplane at a moment’s notice, and I became quite familiar with getting through airports as well.
FINALLY
We're Together Forever
This year, I got an amazing opportunity to move both companies and states, and now am in California with Natalie! Long-distance became our norm, but it was not the ideal way to truly nurture our love for each other, and we both agree that being together is a thousand times better! We’re ready for the next chapter, and can’t wait to be married and build a life together! However, we’ll never stop doing our favorite things like dancing together at concerts, being active and outdoors, cooking together, trying new restaurants, and traveling the world:)
