Like many modern love stories, ours began with a swipe. We met on Hinge, exchanged a few messages, and decided to meet in person. Little did we know we were only three blocks apart the whole time! On our first date we went for drinks and the conversation flowed so easily. What first caught Natalie’s attention was Carlos’s humor, his positivity, and of course, his smile. For Carlos, it was Natalie’s warmth, her sense of humor, and the way she carried herself. What we both noticed right away was how natural it felt to be together. From romantic walks to dinners that turned into long conversations, it did not take long for our story to become something more. During a vacation in the South of France, Carlos asked Natalie to take a morning walk along the beach in Nice. Little did Natalie know, he was really just trying to pass the time before the big moment he had planned. After their walk, they headed back to get ready for the day. When Natalie stepped out of the shower, she noticed a large Banana Republic box waiting on the bed. She immediately recognized it, weeks earlier she had pointed out a dress she loved while shopping with Carlos. Inside was that very dress. As she held it up, Carlos told her to get ready because they had reservations in 45 minutes. At that moment, Natalie knew something special was about to happen. And in what will forever be a historic moment, she managed to get dressed and ready on time. An Uber picked them up and drove them to the hilltop village of Èze, where they strolled through charming cobblestone streets on their way to the Michelin-starred restaurant Château Eza. At exactly noon, they were led to a private balcony table overlooking the sparkling Mediterranean Sea. It was there, with the most breathtaking view, that Carlos got down on one knee, shared the sweetest words, and asked Natalie to marry him. Through happy tears and total awe, she said yes.
