Natalie and Brian met in middle school. Just like any modern-age, young couple, their relationship revolved around phone communication at first. As time went on, Brian finally found the courage to ask Natalie out on October 20th, 2009. Brian was quarterback and Natalie was cheer captain, it was the perfect high school cliché. Their love continued to grow as time went on, however it wasn’t always easy. On July 10th, 2010, Natalie’s dad, Tom, passed away suddenly. Brian was not only there for Natalie, but stuck by the Greenwood family during this tragic time. He was seen as a light in their life during their darkest season. Immediately, Brian was seen as a part of the family.

As Natalie went off to Oklahoma State University, Brian stayed home for the first semester. Their love never wavered, as Brian made an effort to visit every other weekend. Some might say it was for Cowboy football, but Brian claims it was to spend time with Natalie. Brian couldn’t stay away from Natalie for long and transferred his second semester freshman year. During these pivotal college years, their love continued to remain strong. Brian, Natalie’s biggest cheerleader, encouraged her to pursue her dream of traveling the world as she decided to study abroad for a semester during their junior year. Although long distance is never easy, they were confident in their relationship and knew what they had was a once-in-a-lifetime romance. Throughout their college career, they never had any doubts they were a match made in heaven.

After college, the love-birds moved back home to Dallas as Natalie pursued a career in Accounting and Brian in IT sales. During their free time, they love to mark new destinations off of their bucket list. Travel, food and quality time with friends and family, continues to bond the couple together. After 10, long years, Brian finally decided to take the next step in their relationship and proposed to Natalie on February 8th, 2020. Throughout their 10-year evolution, they still get butterflies when they see each other. They truly believe their love is a fairly-tale and sometimes question if it is too good to be true. Natalie & Brian praise God they found each other so early in life. They enjoy talking about their future and growing old together. With love by their side, they know they will be able to conquer anything life will throw at them. As Brian always quotes from a famous Nicolas Sparks movie,“If you’re a bird, I am a bird,” meaning, wherever life takes them, they will be right by each other’s side.
