Obsession. At 17 years old we were obsessed with each other like most high school relationships. When you’re 17 years old it’s common for those around you to tell you it’s just teenage love and it won’t last. Although, as the first couple months and eventually years went by, we knew this wasn’t just a typical case of high school romance. Natalie and I were perfect opposites while simultaneously being perfectly alike. We liked the same things, enjoyed the same food, and music but more importantly we connected on how similar our childhoods and upbringing were. We were able to contextualize the world around us and who we were becoming based on life events we both endured. This made stressful events such as graduating from high school, moving, going to college, sickness, family members passing, world pandemics, and realizing you know less and less about how the world actually works each day… just a little bit easier. Navigating the world with someone who shares an almost identical perspective is a sure fire way to be inseparable, and that’s why it wasn’t just “teenage love” even from the very beginning. Over the last 9 years we’ve graduated from college, found our passions and are able to say we’re truly happy and fulfilled with what God has given us. Our wedding is a symbol of our commitment and eternal love for one another and we can’t wait to share this next step of life with you.
