We met in graduate school, before our first semester even started, at a new student meet-up at the Durham Food Hall. Braden introduced himself, decided we had absolutely nothing in common, and then… we didn’t speak again for the next six months. A stellar first impression. Fast-forward to a Thursday night run club at Ponysaurus Brewery. Somehow, we ended up chatting post-run, and then again the next week… and the next. Turns out, we had plenty in common. From that point on, the conversation basically never stopped. That summer, we both had internships in Chapel Hill. Not long into it, Braden’s truck decided to take an extended vacation in the repair shop, and Natalie became his unofficial chauffeur. What started as “Hey, can you give me a ride?” quickly turned into daily commutes full of laughter, good music, and even better conversation. Sitting in traffic became the best part of our day. From brewery run clubs to broken-down cars, and from “we have nothing in common” to “we’re getting married,” it’s been the best kind of surprise. We've supported each other through big milestones and everyday moments, and we’re so excited to take on our next one - marriage. We’re thrilled to share this moment with the friends and family who’ve supported us, laughed with us, and watched this story unfold from the very beginning.
