We're getting married!

Spying each other in the halls of the Heart Center we caught each others eye. We worked opposite shifts and had always had hoped to give report to one another with the desire to make small talk. It wasn't until outside of the hospital encouragement from mutual friends gave Natalie the bravery to ask Blake out. Of course David her brother, did have to hit the send button. Later that week we went on our first date. Our plan to meet for a casual walk with coffee around downtown Minneapolis turned into 4 hours in 90 degree heat. After our goodbyes and a forewarned sweaty hug, we knew we'd be seeing a lot more of each other!

We were on our week stretch off when Blake suggested to spend a day in Northeast. As the day went along we explored some of our first date spots. We were waiting for our favorite brewery, Indeed to open so Blake had the idea that we go walk around the Stone Arch Bridge since it was a nice sunny winter day. Natalie said "sure why not," little did she know what was coming! Blake proposed on our 2 1/2 year anniversary, which happened to be on a Wednesday afternoon in 30 degree weather. We made our way back to Indeed for a celebratory beer and continued to celebrate and share the news with our family and friends that night. Blake had always joked June 2023 so Natalie was surprised!
