Please RSVP by Sunday 18th February 2024.

Question

Answer

The ceremony begins at 2.00 p.m. We ask that you are seated by 1.55 p.m. Please do not arrive before 1.30 p.m.

Question

Are children invited to the wedding?

Answer

No, unfortunately not. We'd like our day to be an adults-only occasion.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, black tie or kilts. For military personnel, mess dress is optional.

Question

What's involved in a Jewish wedding ceremony?

Answer

We will be having a religious Jewish ceremony, officiated by Rabbi Rubin. As such, there are a few things worth knowing ahead of time. Firstly, men and women will be asked to sit separately for the duration of the ceremony only. Men will also be required to cover their heads with a kippah (skull cap) which will be provided on the day. Please could we also ask that women cover their shoulders for the ceremony.

Question

What's the best way to get to the venue?

Answer

The Engine Works is around a 10-15 minute drive from Glasgow city centre. We recommend getting a taxi. Uber and black cabs are available in Glasgow. There's a small amount of on-street parking but this can't be guaranteed. Venue address is: 23-25 Lochburn Road Glasgow G20 9AE

Question

Can I make specific dietary requests?

Answer

Yes, when you RSVP there is an option to enter specific dietary requirements. Please note that the food and drink will all be kosher and will therefore follow the relevant rules. If you're interested in understanding more about what this means please see https://theus.org.uk/article/what-kosher
