Known for their huckleberry bear claws. Stock up on their amazing baked goods at the beginning of your trip. We loved this place so much and enjoyed the drive. (It's a bit of a rough drive, but we made it just fine an a rented Nissan Versa). It's not in Glacier National Park.
You'll need a park entrance pass & possibly a vehicle pass. See link below: https://www.nps.gov/glac/planyourvisit/fees.htm#entrance-passes Driving the Going to the Sun Road is a must! You'll be able to see alot of the park this way without having to hike. You can also buy tickets for boat tours Below are "easy" hikes in West Glacier that we recommend in the few days you are here. It's possible to fit multiple in on one day. Link to Area Trail Maps: https://www.nps.gov/glac/planyourvisit/hikingthetrails.htm 1. Lake McDonald Area: Trail of the Cedars to Avalanche Lake 2. Logan Pass Area: Park/get dropped off in Logan Pass parking lot & walk to Hidden Lake Overlook 3. St Mary Area: St Mary Falls trailhead to Virginia Falls (cute waterfalls) The Many Glacier area was closed our last visit to GNP, so we don't have any experience with that side of the park. We look forward to the Iceberg Lake trail, Grinnell Lake/Grinnell Glacier trails & visiting the Many Glacier Hotel this time
