Natalie spends a lot of time here! The recent addition of the Aquarium is nice if it's not too busy.
Closest Target to downtown!
Free museum to check out lots of art! Also, the famous - larger than life - shuttle cocks are on their lawn.
Beer Hall to hang out in, get some views of the area... They have a rec deck with some games... and Brewery Tours with tastings along the way. Neat to check out if you like beer. I haven't done a tour in a while but if volunteer in the beginning, you used to get rewarded with a free beer at the end, probably still do!
45 minute drive from downtown KC, we are members and go a handful of times a year. Beautiful flowers, light hiking trails though woods.
Super close to the Zoo
Art District... shops, dining, graffiti art all over in the alley ways, sometimes music. We like Grinders and Mission Taco
Jazz District. Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, American Jazz Museum, BBQ.
Lots of shopping and dining, they have free parking garages all around it and a little river along the area.
Union Station has rotating exhibits featured inside, a planetarium, movie theater, and Science City (Slightly more kid themed but also fun for inquisitive adults! We have been on a date day and had fun). It's also at the end of the free street car that rides up to the River Market area with many stops along the way.
One of our all time favorites!
It’s a KC staple smack dab in the middle of downtown.
