About Our Venue
Sheperd's Run is the site for both the marriage ceremony and reception. Located in picturesque South County Rhode Island, Sheperd's Run is a winery and newest wedding venue in Rhode Island.
Steeped in South County History, the mansion was built by "Sheperd Tom" Hazard an Author, Sheperd and active Social Reformer. Hazard advocated for both the poor and mentally ill and was the Author of the Johnny -Cake Papers a wealth of information and anecdotes on the early settlement of the area. He was also an avid supporter of modern spiritualism.
The ceremony will take place in the sunken garden designed by the renowned landscape architect Beatrix Ferrand one of the 11 founding members and only woman, of the American Society of Landscape architects.
