We’re Getting Married!

In 7th grade, after transferring to a new school district, I (Natalia) walked into Morris Middle School feeling completely lost. I knew a few people, but everything else was unfamiliar — until a friend took it upon herself to introduce me around. That’s when I first met Rocky. I’ll never forget it. He stood there in an awkward pose, wearing loose jeans and a white t-shirt with his name written in different languages — a moment so vivid it still makes me smile. From that day on, we became friends, never knowing that something much deeper was quietly beginning to grow. It wasn’t until 10th grade, on a quiet Thanksgiving Day, that everything changed. Feeling a little bored, I posted on Snapchat that I wanted someone to talk to — and out of nowhere, Rocky messaged me. It was a simple conversation, but it led to so much more. After months of growing closer, on February 19, 2017, while we were at the movies, Rocky casually asked, “So… are we dating?” I smiled and said “yes,” and from that moment, we were inseparable. Six incredible years later, filled with laughter, growth, and endless memories, Rocky got down on one knee and proposed during a trip to San Antonio on October 27, 2023. It was perfect — just like our story has always been. Now, as we plan our wedding, I can’t wait to finally call Rocky my husband. Our journey has been full of unexpected beginnings and beautiful twists, and I know our future together will be even more magical.

I met her back in middle school. She was the new student, and at first, I honestly didn’t think too much of her — who really talked to girls back then anyway? We ended up in the same class, sitting next to each other, and little by little, a friendship quietly bloomed. One day, she posted a story on Snapchat, just looking for someone to talk to. Thank God I decided to respond. From that moment on, everything changed. We started talking more, laughing more, finding every excuse to spend time together. Eventually, I worked up the courage to ask her to go to the movies with me — a simple night that would end up meaning so much more. When I got to the theater, I expected to find her waiting in the lobby. Instead, I wandered around and spotted her in the arcade alone, completely in her own world, riding a motorcycle game with the biggest smile on her face. It was such a small moment, but it’s one I’ll never forget — and it’s when I realized just how special she was. After the movie, my nerves got the best of me, and instead of a big speech, I simply asked, “So… are we dating now?” She smiled and said “yes.” And just like that, our real story began. It was endless conversations, late-night video chats, quiet moments, and a million memories we built together without even realizing we were building a life. Six years later as we were growing up, and growing even closer, I knew it was time to ask Natalia to marry me. Now, as we look ahead, I couldn’t be more excited. I get to spend forever with my best friend, my partner, and the love of my life. And honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
