Things To Do

Viejo San Juan

Viejo San Juan

San Juan, PR, Puerto Rico

Old San Juan is the oldest city in the U.S. It is very walkable and offers lots of photo-opts, shopping, museums, and bars. El Morro is the best spot on the island to be a kid again and fly kites. Just be sure to wear walkable shoes!

El Yunque National Forest

El Yunque National Forest

PR-191, Río Grande, PR 00745, Puerto Rico

El Yunque is the only tropical rainforest in the U.S. National Forest System. Although you can explore yourself without a guide, it's best to book one for your first visit so you can learn about the importance of the rainforrest and enjoy the most popular spots. If you do end up going without a guide, I recommend stopping at El Portal Visitors Center which acts as an information center and also has a cafe.

Playa Azul

Playa Azul

Playa Costa Azul Playa Azul, Luquillo, PR 00773, Puerto Rico

Kia's favorite beach also happens to be the one I grew up going to the most as a kid. Grab a boogie board as it tends to be wavy. Just be sure avoid La Punta (the point) which is towards the end of the beach and full of undercurrents.

Laguna Grande Boluminescent Bay

Laguna Grande Boluminescent Bay

Fajardo, PR 00738, Puerto Rico

Of the only five bioluminescent bays in the world, three are in Puerto Rico. Be sure to book a nighttime kayaking adventure to check it out!
