I know it’s an all-inclusive resort, but how does food work at Lopesan?

There are 2 buffet-style restaurants, 7 a la carte restaurants, 2 ‘Beach Clubs’ and 16 bars at the hotel. You only need to make reservations at the à la carte restaurants!

Should I bring cash? If so, should I exchange it for Dominican pesos? / ¿Debería llevar dinero en efectivo? Si es así, ¿debería cambiarlo a pesos dominicanos?

Answer

You should bring some cash to the resort. At all-inclusive resorts, it's customary to tip waitstaff and bartenders throughout your stay, typically after each drink or meal. Plan to tip around $2–$5 USD per service. There's no need to exchange your money into Dominican pesos (U.S. dollars are widely accepted for tips). Te recomendamos llevar dinero en efectivo al resort. En los resorts "all-inclusive", es costumbre dar propina a los meseros y bartenders durante tu estadía, normalmente después de cada bebida o comida. Puedes dar entre $2 y $5 USD por cada servicio. No es necesario cambiar el dinero a pesos dominicanos, ya que los dólares estadounidenses son aceptados para las propinas.
