Felicia and Jacob met on the millennial blind date at the very beginning of their junior year at SUNY-ESF and Syracuse University #tinderlovestory. Jacob likes to recall that Felicia cat-fished him, because she claimed to like football, which was very much a lie. It's a good thing she did though, because it got her the in. From their very first date (ice skating at the Syracuse University's Tennity ice rink), their connection was immediate! They realized just how many similar interests they had. Jacob liked that Felicia was a major NERD, and loved Star Wars, Harry Potter, and Lego video games. Felicia liked that Jacob had appreciation and love of food and cooking. Jacob liked Taylor Swift's music, and Felicia disliked sports, so those were almost deal breakers (just kidding of course!). From then on, Felicia and Jacob became best friends, and fell in love within three months.

Jacob is a natural when it comes to math, so it comes to no surprise that he has had an incredible successful career as a Mechanical Engineer with Jacobs Engineering Group (you read that right, the name is a funny coincidence). Jacob currently works on projects for the Federal Aviation Administration via Jacobs Engineering Group, and provides the mechanical portion of building plans for air traffic control towers and related buildings. The cool thing is, he gets to travel all over the country to do this job for the surveying aspect. Anywhere where there is an airport he might go to work. As someone who LOVES to travel, this is the ideal job for him! The rest of the time, he gets to work from home to do this work (Felicia is majorly jealous). Felicia is a Hematology and Coagulation Laboratory Supervisor at Georgetown University Hospital. She absolutely loves science, and feels right at home at the microscope. She's so glad that she found the right niche for her between science and medicine. Now she functions mostly in a supervisory capacity at Georgetown, which is a lot more stressful than it used to be, but it is incredibly rewarding work. Ask her what her favorite peripheral blood cell is at the wedding.

Fast forward to after college, they got their very own place in Arlington, VA, very close to Jacob's work and across the street from their favorite pizza place; The Italian Store. Life was GOOD. Fast forward to Spring of 2020 and the start of the pandemic, and Felicia and Jacob did what millennials do best during a pandemic - they bought a house. And, as the pandemic dragged on and vaccines came out, Felicia and Jacob started to travel again, quickly finding out how much they loved adventuring together, especially out in California #westcoastbestcoast. The wedding is quickly approaching but Felicia and Jacob know their biggest adventures are ahead of them, the next of which being their travels to Italy for their honeymoon. In short, their home is not just a place, home means being together.
